Halloween--"Get on the Night Train" (2008)

If you've got a sidekick, why not dress the part this Halloween?

While it may not have been October 31st on this particular evening, it was an ideal occasion to dress up, considering we were the only ones taking it to that level besides the band.

(September 2008, "Appetite for Destruction" Booze Cruise around Manhattan)
Loaded like a freight train

(My attempt at Axl, looking more like a brawny biker chick)
Flyin' like an aeroplane
(Slash and Axl Dancin w/Mr. Brownstone)
Speedin' like a space brain

On Roxana (left):
Black top hat-Halloween Store
Vintage GNR T-shirt (mine)-Thrift store
Black Vintage '80s patent leather eyelet belt (mine)-Ebay

On me (right):
Blue leopard print bandana-H&M
Black skull print t-shirt-Wet Seal
White scarf-H&M
Ivory Vintage 80s eyelet belt-Thrift Store
Black woven belt w/bullets-Merry Go Round (circa 1995, isn't that store long gone?)
Silver aviator sunglasses-the BF's (god knows what gas station these came from)

One more time tonight...
Imagine my delight, when I saw these two
a few months ago following the same destructive path I've chosen!

(FYI: These two ladies are just starting out in the blogging world, so please travel on over and give them a read.
They're dishing out their college angst, style, and party-life fun.
And for all of you like me, somedays I just wish life would be like college again.  This is a quick fix.)

So on this note, who's your dream Halloween duo?
-Mick and Keith?
-Joe Perry and Steven Tyler?
-Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi?
-Sonny and Cher?
-Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton (more of this coming soon, check back)

You know, it's not too late for you and your bestie to jump on board and plan your Halloween get-up.

Side Note: If ever I had a little sister, Sew Me Some Love would've been it!  I've known her since the day she was born, and after all these years, it makes me so ecstatic to find out that she's not only into about 90% of the same stuff I'm into, but she's also studying to be a fashion designer!  In some little way, it makes me so happy to see her following the same footsteps--that being footsteps out of the parents' house, onward to college, and one day a hop, skip, and a jump outside of Indiana to the bright lights of the big city!

Side Side Note:  Sew Me Some Love, let me apologize for probably putting your diapers on crooked, most likely failing to warm your bottles to the proper temperature, making you sport my crazy hairdo's to piano class, and never having mastered the art of cooking-thus all those frozen pizza or PB&J lunches I served you and your brothers

Triple Side Note: AXL IS FROM INDIANA!!!!!  I don't care that he's a total douche nowadays, I gotta stand by my man!

Nickie, I LOVE YOU! and don't worry..i don't remember my diapers being on crooked and my bottles not being warm. BUT, i do remember you doing fashion sketches for me all the time when i was little! whenever people ask me why i decided that fashion design was the right choice for me, i always tell them "my babysitter was completely amazing, crazy, and into design..so i'm positive that she had a big influence on me" :)
